Radio 1's Nihal

Radio 1 presenter Nihal popped into Streetlife FM to chat to Mr Redmar and Damo about his time working in the music industry. Currently the presenter of the weekend early afternoon slot as well as an Asian beats and flavas show on Radio1, Nihal shared his wisdom and knowledge to give you practical advice on ways to get into the music industry. A music journalist in a former life, Nihal wrote for The Face, Eastern Eye, Mixmag, Hip Hop Connection and the Observer before following that up with doing PR for the likes of Mos Def and even Elton John! He also managed to fit in a stint rapping with Fun Da Mental and DJing at Glastonbury, as well as presenting Desi DNA on BBC 2 and rap show The Drop on MTV Base.


Carole Vincent

Waltham Forest resident of 27 years and ex-Big Brother housemate Carole Vincent recently popped into Streetlife FM. During her interview she spoke about her involvement in Love Music Hate Racism, politics, and of course, her stint in the Big Brother house and whether this season's flatmates have lived up to the hype. Brilliant local with a massive personality - still one of our favourite housemates in a long, long time!


Jonathan Ross

A Television and radio presenter, he grew up in Leytonstone. He is known for his colourful dress sense, which is frequently mocked and the way in which he pronounces the consonant 'R' with a 'W'. Jonathan Ross was awarded best radio personality of the year at the 2001 TRIC Awards and also radio programme of the year in 2001 along with the Sony award for music presentation of the year.


Fanny Craddock

A British writer, restaurant critic and television cook born 26th February 1909- 1994. She worked mostly with John Craddock, her husband, whose name she adopted before they married. She was one of Britain's first TV chiefs.


Damond Albarn

A singer-songwriter who shot to fame as the lead singer of rock band Blur. Recently he has been in the music scene as a member of the virtual band, Gorilla's, but boy band Blur has not disbanded. He has also been nominated as PETA's sexiest vegetarian. The album ‘The good the bad and the Queen’ was the first album released by EMI as a digital music download without digital rights management.
