DJ Zarah meets Louise Mitchell

Louise Mitchell from WFLink came into Streetlife FM to tell us about this new project. Since April 2009, Waltham Forest Local Involvement Network has been looking at ways of collecting the views of local residents on the borough’s health and social care services. They have been working to find out what people actually want from their Primary Care Trust and local council and pass that on so your opinions are heard.
If you want to suggest anything from changing the times of doctors’ surgeries to the range of services offered or making a service more culturally appropriate, this is where to go.
Ben got involved as a volunteer and now sits on committees and attends meetings where he has a voice on relevant issues after hearing about the project in Waltham Forest library. At only 17 years old, he is currently on the mental health sub committee.
Find out why he loves being a volunteer at WFLink and how you could be doing the same.
