WezzyB meets Councillor Chris Robbins

Child Services Councillor turns up to duet with Wezzy B

Chris Robbins Labour councillor from the Grove Green Ward with StreetLife FM’s Wezzy B

Councillor Robbins took the opportunity to come into the Streetlife studios to have, like one of his musical heroes Tony Bennet, a duet appearance with Wezzy B on the "Meet the Councillor” slot. To be honest Tony Bennet hasn't actually dueted with Wezzy as yet, but Councillor Robbins would we feel be happy to welcome Tony to the Waltham Forest Labour party should he feel so inclined.

With a specific responsibility for Childrens Services, Councillor Robbins gave a detailed overview of the process that had lead him to become involved in this area - very much of interest to Steeetlife listeners.

Making a challenge for the title of rock n roll councillor, Councillor Robbins included Jerry Lee Lewis amongst his choice of music, and possibly more appropriately for an observation of politicians generally the song was Ray Charles 'Tell me what I say'!

On a more serious note Councillor Robbins made the case, as well as a request, for more young people to get involved as Volunteers to inform, drive and help implement Youth policy in the borough. Not surprisingly, and regardless of political hue, the Councillor joined with all of our previous councillor guests in commending Streetlife FM as a positive example of Youth activity.
