Streetlife FM meets Hassett Auguste

Hassett Auguste, the Chief Executive of Ascham Homes, popped into Streetlife FM to chat to Nawez and Talisa.

Ascham Homes was formed in 2003 and is a Waltham Forest council-owned organisation that manages all council homes. Currently, this amounts to just under 12,500 properties ranging from 5 bedroom houses to bedsits and residents remain council tenants but are managed by Ascham Homes. While generally in Waltham Forest, some properties range as far as Epping and Billericay.

Hassett talks about taking action on such issues as anti-social behaviour which may take the forms of gangs, dogs or excess noise and how they work with the police to tackle these urban concerns.  But it isn’t all bad – most tenants are “terrific”.

Listen to find out how you can get involved and have your say on the way council houses are run by becoming one of the board members. Or how you could be put on probation if you are naughty!
