Abbi and Geoff meet Eleanor Bennet

Local singer-songwriter Eleanor Bennet dropped into Streetlife FM to chat to Geoff and Abbi about her new charity single for the Alzheimer’s Society. We Wipe Bums was launched at a party at the Leicester Square Theatre recently and Eleanor is also planning to do a club tour around the UK soon.

Eleanor works as a care assistant for the elderly and all the sales proceeds are going to the Alzheimer’s Society due to her experience in this area. Roughly 42% of people are affected by Alzheimer’s, either from being a sufferer or a close family member and there is no cure.

We Wipe Bums is a quirky, comical song about her line of work and came about after Eleanor wanted to do something positive in that area. You can even hear a dance, trance remix as well as a salsa version so there is something for everyone!

An Edinburgh festival veteran, she is currently touring her solo show, Off Her Trolley, which she describes as a mixture of theatre and comedy. Listen to Eleanor talking about her forthcoming world record attempt for the tallest toilet roll tower! Catch Eleanor at the Lovegrove Theatre in Woodford on 7th October. We Wipe Bums is available to buy on iTunes and Amazon.
